In May 2013, we sent our 27th batch of Camelina Seed to Golburn Valley Oilmills in Tisdale, SK to be pressed into Camelina Oil. This Camelina Seed was grown by Colin Rosengren. It was seeded on May 18, 2012. The growing conditions early on that year were wet and humid but come July the sun came out and we finished the growing season with hot and dry conditions. On August 22nd Colin harvested a beautiful crop of Camelina.

In late May 2013 Golburn Valley fired up the expellers and began pressing this seed. Though the oil yield in the seeds was lower than expected, the quality of the oil was perfect. The flavor of this freshly pressed Camelina Oil was perfect. We shipped the oil a half hour up the road to Northern Nutraceuticals in Spalding, SK to have it bottled up in our Three Farmers 250ml Original bottles.
